The clip’s format—a dramatic visual transition—invites viewers to attribute the change to GHK-Cu alone, but the evidence base tells a more nuanced story.

What the research neighborhood actually covers

GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper-binding peptide that has been studied for its roles in wound healing, skin remodeling, and antioxidant activity. In the context of hair, the relevant research is largely preliminary and often conducted in vitro or in small animal models. Some studies suggest that copper peptides can influence hair follicle biology—for example, by modulating angiogenesis (blood vessel formation) or by supporting the activity of dermal papilla cells, which play a key role in hair growth. However, these findings do not translate directly to a guaranteed “before and after” effect in humans, especially over the timeframes typical of social media clips.

Clinical evidence for GHK-Cu in hair growth is sparse.
